PRIVACY POLICY

Anglicanism Quest is a learning game. We collect only what we need to run it, keep it fair and send you airtime. We never sell your data, and there are no ads or trackers.

IN SHORT

Your phone number signs you in, and it is the only number airtime is ever sent to.
Other players see only your nickname, symbol, level and league position.
No ads, no analytics trackers, and we never sell your data.
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

01Who we are

Anglicanism Quest is operated by Semper Technologies Ltd (RC 9571901), a company registered in Nigeria (“we”, “us”). The game was developed by The Venerable Alex Uzor. We are the data controller for the personal data described here, and we handle it in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

02What we collect

Your account. Your mobile number (checked with a one-time SMS code), the network it belongs to, your nickname, the symbol you pick, and your birth month and year, which tell us you are old enough to play and whether you are under 18.

If you are under 18. Your parent or guardian's phone number, and the date they approved airtime prizes.

Your play. Games played, your answers and how long they took, scores, XP, stars, streaks, missions and league positions.

Talents and airtime. Every Talent you earn or spend, and each airtime top-up: the amount, number, network, status and the provider's reference.

Security and fair play. A random device ID kept in a cookie, a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, your browser type, and flags for answers given faster than a person can read.

Messages you send us. Your name, email address and message. If you are signed in, we also attach your nickname, number and account ID so we can help you quickly.

On your device only. Your sound and motion settings and your cookie notice choice. See the Cookie Policy.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or bank card details.

03How we use it, and why we may

To run the game and your account: signing in, saving progress, missions and leagues. This is needed to provide the service you asked for.
To give out Talents and send airtime to your verified number. Also needed to provide the service.
To keep the game fair: spotting bots, shared devices and multiple accounts, and holding back Talents when something looks wrong. This is our legitimate interest in protecting rewards for every player and our sponsors' funds.
To ask a parent or guardian to approve airtime for players under 18. This is based on their consent.
To answer your messages and fix problems you report. Our legitimate interest in supporting players.
To keep financial records and answer lawful requests. Required by law.

We never use your data for advertising. If our fair-play checks hold back your Talents, you can contact us and a person will review it.

04Who we share it with

Sendozi, to send sign-in and guardian codes by SMS (your number and the message).
TopupNaija, to deliver airtime (the number, network and amount).
Amazon Web Services, to deliver Contact page messages to us by email.
Our hosting and database providers, who store the game's data for us.
Other players see your nickname, symbol, level, XP and league positions. They never see your phone number.
Authorities, only when Nigerian law requires it.

Our providers may use the data only to do their job for us. We never sell or rent personal data.

05Data outside Nigeria

Some providers may store or process data outside Nigeria. When they do, we make sure the transfer is allowed under the NDPA and that your data stays protected, for example by contract.

06How long we keep it

Account and play data: while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise it within 30 days.
Talent and airtime records: up to 6 years, because the law requires financial records to be kept.
Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes, and sign-in sessions end after 30 days.
Contact messages: up to 2 years.

07Children and young people

Anglicanism Quest is for ages 13 and up. Players aged 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian to approve airtime prizes, once, by SMS code, before any airtime is sent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

08Your rights

Under the NDPA you can ask us to:

give you a copy of your data;
correct anything that is wrong;
delete your data;
stop or limit how we use it;
give you your data in a format you can take elsewhere.

You can also withdraw consent you have given, such as a guardian's approval. That does not affect anything done before.

To make a request, use the Contact page with the topic “Privacy request”, or email info@semper.ng. We may send an SMS code to confirm it is really you, and we reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.

09Keeping it safe

Sign-in codes and session tokens are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, IP addresses are hashed, our cookies cannot be read by scripts on the page, and every connection is encrypted. Only a few authorised admins can see player records. If a breach ever puts you at risk, we will tell you and the NDPC as the law requires.

10Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you in the game before it applies.
